My new M105 different than my old M105

I just picked up what appears to be a never used 2008 VSE rebuilt M105A2. (It says it was a 1982 before the rebuild).
I was surprised to see several differences from my old 1987 M105A2.

1. There are more braces on the outside of the trailer box.
2. There are braces on the inside of the trailer box - old one has none.
3. The spots on the sides to hold the front and rear boards are not tall enough to let them click in.
4. My fiberglass side boards do not fit in the holes in the top of the box. It looks like they welded it together without lining them up, so the top and the pocket do not line up.
5. The jack release handle on the old one allows you to push / pull to the side to release it, the new one requires you to pull it straight out (much harder).

Has anybody else noticed anything like this on newer trailers? I was going to keep this new one and sell the old one, but if I can't use the sides and tarp I don't really want to keep it. I'm kind of bummed.

Here are a few more pics that show how clean this thing is.
The only damage is paint scrapes along the side and bottom where the GL guy banged into the side with the forklift bringing it over to me.
I was happy to see he didn't smash any of the brake components under the box.

New tires and new rims too as far as I can tell. In fact I looked it over pretty good and the only thing that doesn't look new is the lunette and maybe the landing leg in the back.
When they say "reworked" they really mean it!

My last trailer looks exactly like yours. Luckily mine had the side boards. Didnt know the were different. Funny thing is the army shipped my trailer to fort lewis from germany only to auction it off.

If you want to sell your trailer, let me know I'm a couple hours North in Washburn.

Interesting, thanks for the info.
After looking at it further I think the fixes will be pretty easy, I just need a day to screw around with it.
These VSE trailers are just too nice to not purchase / use!
