Front Bumper & brush Guard Removal

I need help removing front bumper and brush guard.

Is there an easy way of removing these. I was hoping to remove them and have them straighten, and to get at the nuts with my impact wrench, but looks like going to a problem.

Maybe removing the braces from the frame would be the way to go.

Hoping someone has removed theirs and found a easier way to this.

Just un bolt the 1/2 bolts and pull it off !!! It would be harder to unbolt from the frame...

The cap bolts are usually going to be rusted and would need to be cut off. Soak them in JB 80 for a few days so you do not round out the bumper square holes that hold the bolt. If they do not give, then cut them off. Plus it is better to replace them anyways with new ones when you reinstall it.

Thanks I guess I was making it harder than it really is, I've sprayed them with PB Blaster, yesterday. I was planning on replacing the bolts and nuts. I was just hoping there was a easy way, but for a old man like me, there's not a easy way working under one of these....

I am getting ready to do the same thing for a repaint. I will soak them with PB ,but I think some may require the blue wrench.

YEA!!!!!!!

I got the bumper & brush guard off today, almost all the bumper bolts just
turned in the bumper like I thought they would...

Removing the braces from the frame... IS the way to go, it make it a lot easier to remove. 14 bolt to remove.

Now I'll take it a local shop and have them to just cut the nuts off...

Just remove the bolts from the frame and yank-her-off!!!

I beleive the saying is" Work Smarter Not Harder"

Cut the heads off and put new stainless steel ones back on when its time. I would use a grinder or a plasma. Grinder is cleaner.

Buy your self a angle grinder and some cutting wheels at home depot i use mine always its a redneck plasma cutter!!!!

I just drill them out, much cleaner .

Just removed my bumper and grill guard today. Didn't even try wrenching on those rusty bolts, just cut the heads off from the outside using a 4.5" grinder with a 1/4" thick wheel. Took about 15min. and off she falls!
