I have insurance through Allstate. It is about $25 a month. Normal use. There are several threads on the subject. Try the search box and it should give you some helpful threads.

thanks but the agent told me the didnt ill try another agent
I know more guys with M35s insured with State Farm than any other company. I have an A2 and an A3 insurec with State Farm. They will insure it as a commercial vehicle restricted to private use. Premiums are reasonable.

Dont let them BS ya. I got state farm on my deuce, $27 a month, Commercial policy for private use. Its listed as a stake body truck. They had ZERO issues insuring it, other than the fact my agent was a little rusty with the commercial side of state farm lol

As a side note, they did want a picture of the truck, only because M35A2 or Deuce and a half isn't in there system of vehicles hahaha

I'm glad you said that Sir. I have Progressive on 5 MVs ranging from 5ton to a baby jeepie.
The deuce and 5ton they wanted pictures and I wanted them to have them so there was no question about what they are insuring...just in case.

The 5ton Guntruck took just a little bit of explaining however.roflroflrofl

State Farm, no issues and no problems. You might want to consider getting with your agent and the underwriter on the 2-way and find out what they will NOT cover. I found out that the only thing they would not cover me for is Parade use...

4x4:

reading your post i find it funny that how between different agents things change, My agent also checked with me sitting right there if i was covered for parades. They said yes, I also checked if I was allowed to haul people in the back in parades and still be covered, they said yes to that also. but ONLY in a parade. I am NOT covered to haul people back there for regular use.

I just find it weird how they can say yes to me but when you ask the same exact question they say no.:confused:

the gun truck is just to guarantee your rates don't change right!!!:mrgreen::mrgreen:
Not to steal the thread but this is funny.

Of course my local agent didn't have an M54A1 listed so she had to call in for authorization to insure. She was on a portable phone and the GT was across the street and we were enjoying a smoke outside (cigarettes).

She was describing the GT: "Well, it's a REALLY big black truck with three axles with a big metal box on the back and some big guns sticking out".
I heard the feller yell "WHAT"???
I told Donna to give me the phone. :driver:

I've used Hagerty for years (but never for a MV). Today I called them to insure the Deuce I just bought.

You would not believe the Mickey Mouse, illogical requirements they came up with. Namely: the truck is at my location A, but they want it garaged at my location B, which is fine. BUT the truck is at my location A (where it was delivered) and they WOULD NOT INSURE THE TRUCK UNTIL IT WAS AT LOCATION B!!!

Now, I asked, how am I supposed to get it to location B if it is not insured?

And, if it were at my location B, under the terms of my policy, am I not permitted to drive to my location A? ('Yes, you are'.)

So then how can you not do this?

After escalation with a supervisor and much gnashing of teeth, they did it, but only because 'you are a good long-term customer with no claims'. IOW they bent their own rules. The rules do not sound right.

So for the moment, I have insurance with Hagerty but honestly, I am considering looking elsewhere as Hagerty does not seem to be the easy-to-deal-with company they once were.

I agree! One of our fellow SSrs lives here in LC as well and could participate in parades (State Farm). This being said, my dad and a cousin are certified insurance appraisers and investigators, I asked them about this and they just laughed. "Its just like asking a govt agency a question, you'll never get the same identical answer twice fom the same person nor will you get two underwriters to agree on the same thing". Such is Life!
