low air pressure busser

It was rainning Saturday and my windshield leaks. But since then my Low air pressure busser does not work right. The gage goes up but the busser does not go off all the time.
Can I rebuild it or sould I just replace it. Or is there something else wrong.

Did you check the connection to the buzzer? The buzzer is located inside the cab on the firewall. It should have a ground strap attaching to the firewall and a black wire connecting to the buzzer box.

Usually, DOT puts great stock in that buzzer, and they feel quite strongly that it should come on at exactly at 60 PSI too. So locate it and make sure it works. Trace it out. Others are availiable, as are new sending units.

I'm not sure this is the case on deuce systems. Running out of air in a deuce is equivalent to losing vacuum on a c60 Chevy. The c60 isn't required to have a vacuum buzzer or gauge for that matter.

I could be wrong on this though as I haven't read the law. I do know my buzzer quit working some time back and I'm in no hurry to fix it. I just keep tabs on the low pressure light.

It most likely means your low pressure switch needs to be replaced. It could also mean that your gauge is reading incorrectly. Does the gauge read correctly at high pressure? If so, the problem is the low pressure switch.

The buzzer is on the firewall in front of the driver, #3 on the diagram from the -20 TM..
Thanks, GLCaines. I was actually hopig for a photo. I have the manual. The buzzer must be installed way up there on the firewall. I can't see it. The heater blocks my view on my own truck, and I never really looked for the buzzer in any other truck.
