Mo noob needs recovery/info help.

Bought an M109A3 in or around Ft. Smith.
It has no brakes?
I need someone in that area that has a shop or something I could have this towed to so I could work on it?
Basically just a flat piece of ground?
I am bringing my own tools and manuals.
Hopefully it is an easy fix?
Also where do I find Dot 5 brake fluid or is that necessary?

Any help or suggestions or anything would be deeply appreciated!!!

#1: So you don't know if it has brakes or not? I can not tell by your punctuation.

#2: Are you asking a question about towing? again I don't understand.

#3: What about a piece of flat ground are you asking?

#4: Good thing you have the TM's. You will need them.

#5: I do not know you tell me.

#6: Yes you need DOT 5 unless you are going to flush the system with DOT 3. Any Auto parts store has DOT 5.

you could try a local tow company and get it towed to a parking lot

As a worst case place to buy DOT5, Advance Auto has it in quarts. Do a google search for DOT5 and see if you recognize a local chain parts store in your area.

Dot5 is typically around $40-60/gal at MV shows.

I guess I`m as fouled up as you are, because I understood your post.

I have friends in Fort Smith that operate a Heavy Duty Truck shop and parts store.
They should have information that will help you even if indirectly.

I've been having trouble finding it at Advance Auto parts lately, but Napa always has it on the shelf.

The guy at the location said he thought it might be low on brake fluid. Someone drove it around the lot so it is running but it has no brakes is all he said.
If I cannot get it (brakes working) I will need to get it towed to a shop that will either do the work for me or let me rent a stall (just a flat piece of parking lot) and perform the work myself.

If there is a member in your area with a deuce and towbar they can help you recover it.

If you are not familiar with the deuce putting brake fluid in can be a booger.

Get on of those funnels with the long flexible tube on it.....otherwise you will spill a lot of fluid topping off the master cylinder. There is also a trick to getting the top off since there is a copper tube plumbed into it.......you will find out that the genius that designed that system never had to work on one......very tight quarters to work in.

Did you click on the link I posted? JA Tonka has posted a bunch of manuals on his website. They are direct from the Military.

We have been posting multiple sites that have hosted the manuals since the Tech Manual section here went offline.

Yes the M109A3 is the same as the M35A2. They are from the M44 Family of trucks. \
