Pretty decent trailer overall, 1966 Johnson Furnace. No rust in the bottom as it has been full of greasy automotive parts for the last 10 years or so.I plugged in the light cable and the lights still work, couldn't even feel it behind the 1008.

I actually got it for my buddy to pull behind his M151a2 so it will go back to it's intended duties.I traded a 105a2 for it, good swap I think:-D

I remember pulling those behind an M151 in Germany when we didn't need a deuce for the supply run.

I managed to flip on over on the Autobahn on morning due to it being loaded wrong.

We had backed up quite a lot of traffic when several big German truck drivers came up and flipped the trailer back on it's wheels.

We took off and the only damage was to the fender where it had slid on the pavement.....I managed to hit it with some spray paint before the Motor Sgt. saw it.

It was not uncommon to fill them with ice and beer and have a "beer bust" out in the woods.

I myself have a bit of autobahn experience with the 151 and trailer,we built what looked like a doghouse on out first sergeant's trailer. It would flip open on one side and top would sit in it and feed chow out of it during logpack. So I guess you could say I have ate out of a 416 a few times:DWe also ditched the vinyl doors and made some out of 3/4 plywood as well as having a sheet of 3/4 under the vinyl top, slap a deuce heater between the seats and you had a pretty warm rig in the winter.
