Cummins flywheel question.

I just picked up a 95 Blue Bird bus with a 5.9 cummins and a AT545 trans. From everything I have read with the At545 it should have the sae#3 flywheel housing on the motor. My question is would a flywheel from a NV4500 out of a 94 dodge ram 5.9 diesel work in a SAE#3 bell? I think they both use a 13" clutch. I'm kind of new to the SAE housing's.

Yeah I kind of like those fancy starters! Any idea on the part number that works with the SAE#3 housing on the 6bt?

I got my bellhousing and flywheel from a guy dismantling powerline service trucks, not sure about part #s. Also got the air compressor that bolts on the back of the 5.9 IP, thought that might come in handy...

I assume you're wanting to install that NV4500 behind the cummins? Just get the dodge engine adapter plate and be done with it.

I'm not going to use a Nv4500 in the deuce i'm planing on using the Spicer 3053A.

I've looked around this evening but can't find his info, it's been several years now... I found him on Ebay, he's North of Pensacola, FL but that's about all I remember, sorry.

Thanks. It seems if you don't have a part number it makes finding it for the right bellhousing hard. I've been reading all kind of stuff off of google and I think a flywheel# 3908569 or #3908570 might be the right one.

Bet your air compressor bolts to the acc. port on the front cover. Not the IP.

What bell do you have? driver or pass side starter? (keep that in mind for fitment in your truck)

I'm pretty sure it's a driver side starter. I also picked up a air compressor for the 6bt.
