I looked for about an hour last night. The closest thing I saw was about a truck that the motor started in reverse. Nothing about the issue you had. I'd go ahead and pull the top to see whats going on in there.

It is too bad that truck isn't here. I have a buddy wood tick that would even consider the rust a good thing. (he would worry too much about bumping a tree with it)

Gimpy, when I noticed your avatar, I laughed so hard man. Like embarrassed myself at work hard.

It doesn't come up on here often enough that picking up a deuce from GL does not always go easy. I would just like to mention how expensive this truck would have been for somebody if they had bought it and tried to drive it home 400, 800, 1200 miles...
JC was lucky he only lives 50 miles from Knox. Had this truck been stuck in reverse when he picked it up, and he didn't have the standby assistance of members like Gimpy.... It would have cost him 500-800 more for a ride home.

On the same note we don't recognize some of the great members we have on here often enough... he may be fat, naked and ugly, but Gimpy will give the shirt off his back to help out another member, and apparently his pants too... I needed a tow bar last year and having never met me he borrowed me one... Don't know if I ever thanked him properly.

He isn't the only one... we have many members just like him that every day make this forum what it is...

She looks to be an alright truck but yes pictures might not do it justice. I'm glad you were able to make it home under such events. Do tell...whats it like going in reverse OD?

What a great deal. Just curious, what brand is the adjustable end wrench? Wondering what was issued.

I just picked up a snatch block just like that in new condition for $45 and thought I bought it cheap. Going to use it to hang a deer from if I ever get one.

Third it. I owe Gimpy big time for all his help building the M8109, but after being forced to see "that which can not be un-seen", maybe we are even!

As for the truck, once the body's gone, how about bobbing the chassis and turning it into some kind of crazy dune buggy?

From all the inquiries I'm getting, I am leaning towards parting out this truck. BUT I have a couple concerns. Where it is sitting now, I can leave it for a month or two but not beyond that. What happens when the stuff that makes it go is gone, and I'm left with a non-running frame plus parts? I know I could post on Craigslist and scrappers would come get it for free, but I need to make at least $1,500 plus time I spend out of it before I give it up to those buzzards. Is that pretty doable?

(I would want the doors, compressor and turbo in addition to the winch, obviously).
