Cleaning up the cranetruck to sell

The engine likes veggie oil, but if not used up, it leaves a mess in the fuel tank. The pump has been running at reduced capacity for a while and I finally took the tank off for a good clean-up.
There was still about 10 gallons of fuel in the tank, a mix of biodiesel, diesel and veggie oil, which was easily drained, but the residue had to be scoured out. "Purple Cleaner" did a good job when it could sit for a while to do its thing.

Don't know if the build-up of goo is from the "WVO" (as opposed to fresh VO) or if it is a natural consequence of the "organic" qualities of veggie oil, but for you who are familiar with the Elsbett Mercedes VO conversion, they are very specific about using high quality fresh VO only.

The 8x8 multifuel will never see WVO. Veggie oil, when used, will be in a small proportion only and definitely "fresh".

Anyway, I have made the tough decision to sell the cranetruck to give my life a much needed kick in the behind. I want to concentrate on the 8x8, which will need a small crane all by itself to handle jobs when away from home, so I'm looking for that too.

I know Bjorn, I wouldn't wager ANY money on him being craneless for any length of time. He's probably got something in the works. Next year is the year. We are going to dispatch a small detatchement to Meadows of Dan and forcibly escort Mr Cranetruck to the GA Rally. I suggest planning accrodingly.

It'll be a few more days, need to do some maintenance on it and still have a couple of jobs around the yard to do. Like Kenny suggests, it would be hard to do without.
