What's up with super rope saying "Cord is not to be knotted"?

How are you supposed to use a rope you can't tie a knot on the end with

How are you supposed to use a rope you can't tie a knot on the end with

Knots weaken the load capacity of rope. It will break at the knot.

mcmaster.com sells EDPM cord which I believe is the same as the super rope
and the following part number is for some neat hooks you can use with it. Look carefully at the drawing for these hooks. These are super simple and galvsnized.

Im sticking with regular shock cord and metal hooks

i got them on my m105a2 mine stretch a good 12- 14 inches
