I bought this a month ago on one of the few GL auctions where they were a good affordable deal. I bought it for the new tarp it had on it as I owed a guy a tarp in a trade deal and the trailer was five hours away not to bad of a run to retrieve. It was pretty ugly no rust to speak of but had old 70s faded paint and the old metal bodied tail lights with the glass lenses still on it. I was surprised it has brand new tires on it and the newer style dolly on it so I decided to make it look presentable so I could sell it off to recoup my money and break even. I cleaned it up and did some spot priming on saturday replaced several boards on the side racks and gave it a new coat of CARC. Today I added a new set of LED tail lights and got everything wired up put new reflectors on it and it looks pretty good now it pulls great no loose bearings thats pretty common in the 105s I have gotten from GL in the past.

AH, the infamous wife!!!! DOH, I have one as well and to say the least, I am lucky to have my truck and trailer. She is giving enough with my hobbies but drew the line at this truck and no more, so I feel your situation.

On another note, maybe she is like mine.....make an attempt to "sell" and well when it doesn't....your just stuck with it[thumbzup]

She is pretty tolerant most of the time all the green toys except one 1009 go inside for storage during the winter. I have a building that a friend lets me use to keep the trucks inside out of the weather for the winter so the iron will be out of the driveway for a few months it gives her a break for a while.

That's cool, mine stays in the drive so the wife has to back around the truck if she leaves before me(I drive it everyday...sure is fun). She did warm up to it a little when a driver smashed into it saving the house from getting hit. She still won't ride in it though, and she got rid of her car for a suv cause she said she feels safer in the air.:cookoo:

Yeah, You will be keeping it...too much time and effort to get rid of it:mrgreen:! Just keep it in the back 40 for :mrgreen:6 months or so and bring it 'home'. That's what I do with my BOSS, honey, I told you about that over a year ago...uh, it works sometimes...I only know if it works if Ms. Emelda Marcos doesn't bring a new pair of shoes home...
