Winch Swap from Gasser to Diesel.

I have a gasser deuce sitting here that has a bunch of problems. But it has a good winch. Can I take the winch and more specifically the PTO off and put it on my Diesel Deuce. The Trans in the gasser is a non-overdrive unit. The one in the Diesel is an overdrive unit. Thanks for any info. Both are M35's.

It should be a direct swap. I'm 99% sure the 3052 (non-overdrive) and the 3053 (overdrive) use the same PTO.

the only thing you need to do is grind the bell housing to clear the gasser winch driveshaft

not really, just grind the bell houseing, we are not talking about much to grind down

Don't know if YOU can.... but why not give it a try!

Yes, the PTO itself; the shifter & bracket; linkage, etc; all is exactly the same for both.
