Which model years did the air-assisted steering originally come on? Or did it originally come on any deuce?

It wasn't factory. It was an add on later at th unit level.

This is also a popular commercial add-on. One of the guys here pointed out earlier the company he works for orders all their over the road tractors with manual steering. When they have completed their over the road life, they are rebuilt for around town use and the air o matic is added to make it easy for the driver to maneuver around buildings and such. They are great units.
