    you can straighten alum but it is tricky we work on some postal trucks and they are built the same. use a oxy acetylene troch but use the gas only NO OXYGEN that is the right temp for alum. heat the affected area and hit with your hammer and back up with the dollys 3 or 4 times heat again and...

    I know how to tell the difference between the first original old I think they are 7 ton with the four pleats on the boot and the ten ton with multiple pleats without looking I'm thinking about 8 pleats on those. and then the 12.5 ton units which need the bigger gear is there a way to tell the 10...

    we used to send a rookie mech to the parts counter for muffler bearings or blinker fluid and the parts man would send him back to measure the bearings or see what color the fluid was some would go back 2 or three times before he figured it out. than the whole shop would be waiting on him:burn:
