    12 or 24 volt system

My M1009 was converted to 12v by the previous owner and I honestly wish it wasn't. The 24v system is pretty simple. Your first step is to figure out what exactly was changed on on the starting and charging system. Figure that out then go from there.

    CUCV 1008,1009, 1028 prices.

Agreed. Anything squarebody GM is fetching a premium in my area. As to it being a bubble, yeah I think so and I think we are getting close to the end of it.

Upcoming tour dates for B-29 Doc

For all the warbird enthusiasts........wasn't sure whether to post in the mess hall The restored B-29 Doc is going back on tour this spring and summer. I caught them the last time they were in Cleveland a few years ago and I highly recommends checking it out if they come to your area. I have...

    Optimizer Engine

I've been following your build thread for a while, you have one heck of a truck and a super clean install. It's impressive for sure. If you have the means to play with those kind of toys by all means, do it and enjoy it. I'm not knocking your choices at all.

    Optimizer Engine

This is my logic. The P400's are cool but for the money, there are many other engine options that fall well under that $14,500 or even the $8-9K they were going for a few years ago. Personally, I'm going gas if my 6.2 dies. New GM performance 383 strokers can be had for about $5000, there ae...

What the Heck is This CUCV Part?

Not to totally hijack the thread but I have yet to find a decent replacement brass proportioning valve that doesn't leak. Hopefully your luck was better?

    Engine swap poll

Not to mention the LS is going to run great once tuned AC is awesome, I have it in my daily driver but I can sacrifice it in my 1009. The LS swap would be an ideal choice and admittedly I don't know as much about the LS line as I should but I do know when done right, they are super reliable...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I'm finally ready to begin work on my blazer again. I painted it a couple summers ago, put everything back together and life happened and she sat in the garage. I've maintained the charge on the batteries, started and test ran every few weeks and drove it a couple times here and there but now...

    Engine swap poll

When done right you cannot beat an LS swap. Cost is a little more but the LS series of engines are rock solid, especially that 6.0L and they have a ton of aftermarket support

    Engine swap poll

This was my logic going with a gasser versus a diesel engine. I had a motorhome 454 for a bit but a friend needed it more than me. The big advantage, at least as I see it, is a gas motor swap can be done super cheap when compared to a diesel swap. And yes, chicks dig big blocks

    Engine swap poll

In this situation I’m not looking to go down the diesel route outside of a used 6.2 or 6.5. Ease of replacement is high in the priority list Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Engine swap poll

Just want to get a general feeling of how everyone feels about engine swaps in the CUCV line of trucks. My engine is fine as of now, I just want to poll the crowd here and see everyone's opinions. I have a blazer now and I always tell myself that if/when the 6.2 goes, I would love to have a 383...

CORONA CANCELLED !! Findlay Ohio, Armed Forces Day show, MVPA convention COMBO

I'm hoping to get my Blazer back on the road and drive it this year. I haven't done much on it in the last year but it needs a little PM and we'll be back on the road. as usual, I'll be wandering around with my cameras.
