Ok. So like. My brain nuked itself

Unimog axles are enclosed driveline, in other words the driveshafts are in tubes, front & rear. So severe mods to the axles to change them to a open driveline would be needed.

    Transfer/Transmission cross member attach bolts/spacers

GM put them there so when you install that 4" lift you can remove them from the top & use them to lower the crossmember an inch for better rear driveshaft angle. GM was smart like that back in the day...rofl

    My first 6.2 swap thread

If your new engine was a Serp settup you need to use your old water pump as well/

Mounting an AC compressor on stock 6.2?

I know I have two complete setups. The compressors are old but they MAY still be good.

Mounting an AC compressor on stock 6.2?

OK let me see what I can dig up. I have a 6.5 disassembled in the back of the shop. Also got another one complete up the barn, these are '94 engines. You won't use the COMPLETE setup, as you won't need the belt driven vacuum pump but I think I have the new correct shorter belt to go on it. Gonna...

Mounting an AC compressor on stock 6.2?

Another solution is to use a complete serpentine setup from a 6.5. I got a couple of these complete if anybody could use them. Lots of 6.5 parts, even a DB2 setup.

    Fuel system drawing a vacuum

Did you start the engine with the check valve removed? Was there ANY Black Residue that would appear to look like Black Pepper in the base of the check valve? If the engine will run with the ck valve removed, re-install the ck valve & start the engine but leave the return hose dis-connected. If...

Mounting an AC compressor on stock 6.2?

If I can catch some time this week I'll photo the brackets & post them here, if I'm smart enough to do it... I got photos of the compressor still installed on the engine if I can remember where they are.... I removed the comp eqpt & sold the engine. Some yrs ago we pulled a 6.2 from an...

Mounting an AC compressor on stock 6.2?

For future reference the M1010 mounts an A6 on the driver's side. A 134a compatible seal kit is about $20.

    Fuel system drawing a vacuum

That's right- remove the tank-pickup- cap & lines from the equation by bottle feeding it. Install a pressure gauge to be sure. But before you do anything do this- your engine's symptoms are CLASSIC Stopped Up Housing Pressure Check Valve. Remove the check valve completely & start the engine &...
