Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately I haven't made those radio adapters in years. The ones I've made recently are for connecting cellphones to the intercom system via Bluetooth. Augi

    HIMARS assy in Arkansas

My understanding is there was an airlift weight requirement that was painful to hit. For example that's why they have custom aluminum rims. I wonder if LM is building the whole chassis so they can omit unnecessary weight from the get go rather than have to strip it out later. Augi

VIC to Cellphone Adapter and Military Radio Digital Modes Adapter

I have ordered parts to make another run of boxes. These are only for VIC-3 and they connect a cellphone to the intercom system via bluetooth. More info here: https://forums.g503.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=321617&p=1937384#p1937384 Augi

    Civilian armoring the HMMWV

What exactly is the scenario you are planning for? The army doesn't generally armor the engine compartment. The idea is to protect the crew. The vehicle itself is expendable. To armor the engine compartment you probably end up in the weight range of a tank anyway. They are generally operating...

    Gear Ratios Differential

3-speed trucks all have 2.56's. It needs all of it to get you going 55mph. If you've got a 4-speed then 2.73 is the way to go. The extra advantage and slightly increased RPM of the engine at 55-65 mph make the truck much nicer to drive. You don't have to constantly mash the pedal to maintain a...

    PRC-104 BB-2590 Battery Protector

Sorry, these were all gone years ago and unfortunately nobody else has asked for one since so I doubt I'll be making any more. I need to make at least 20 at a time. Augi

VIC-3 whistling noise with Engine rpm

I'm talking about the CD-82 for the VIC-3. You can try the same with the AM-1780. Remove the paint where you attach the ground strap. Augi

VIC-3 whistling noise with Engine rpm

Try improving the grounding. I ran a big flat ground braid from one of the feet of the main control box back to the battery and it reduced the whine significantly. Augi

Just received 3 RACAL ACOUSTIC RA 5000/1/6400 Headsets and need to know what else i need to put intercom sys in cab?

You need a VIC3 intercom system to use those headsets. FYI The headsets represent about about 1/5 to 1/8 of the cost of the entire system. You can find more info here: https://www.mil-radios.com//viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4 Augi
