    M35a2 Wont start

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you have one pinhole in your tank you have a thousand. Start shopping for a new tank. I recently got one from White Owl. He’s awesome. If you clean the inside of your tank out thoroughly you’ll find the rest of the holes.

    M35a2 Wont start

I was 99% sure that I put it back together properly. I knew the plunger could be installed into the butterfly clip backwards. Yet, I’m the idiot that floridianson is talking about from last week.

Cleaned HH and now won’t start

Alright boys. Here goes. The plunger was 180 out. And no, that is NOT the same thing that about 75% of people have been telling me is my issue from the FB group and even a few here. It's impossible for the HH to be 180 out of the red tooth is aligned with the arrow in the casting. It's just...

Cleaned HH and now won’t start

I fixed it. I will post the solution this evening when I get to a computer.

Cleaned HH and now won’t start

I ran fuel from the tank into a bottle to collect it, that’s all. Just to make sure it’s flowing properly. Gimpy, I’m confused on how the HH can be 180 out with one red tooth and one shaft? It would seem to me that if the red tooth is lined up with the arrow in the housing that the holes in...

Cleaned HH and now won’t start

Hey again fellas. I wanted to bounce something off of y’all. I had to have all of our possessions off our old property, including the deuce. I had algae all in the fuel system and it hadn’t run in a couple years. After replacing the tank and all of the filters, I removed the shutoff cover to...

    Stuck shutoff plunger

The head is off. The inside of the ports were filled with nasty brown fuel. I'm glad I pulled it. I have to have the truck off the property in a couple days so I suppose I'll be overnighting a set of o-rings. The original plan was to just clean it up and throw it back together to get it off the...

    Stuck shutoff plunger

Hey fellas! I would research this subject for hours or days if I had the time. I am closing on the sale of my farm TODAY and have another 3 days to get everything off the property. One of the last things left is my deuce. It hasn't ran in a couple years and I'm finishing up refreshing the fuel...

    To sell or slowly restore?

Thanks for the input fellas. I'm leaning towards keeping it at this point. It has always lived outside but I may be working on getting it in a pole barn to at least give it some shelter if I want any hope in restoring it slowly to show condition. While these trucks aren't rare, mine has a nice...

    To sell or slowly restore?

Hey fellas! Long time no post. The family and I sold the farm and are moving in town for the benefit of my little boy starting school and living the family/parenting life and such. It has forced me to get the Deuce back up and going so I can move it to a family members property. The fuel tank...

Gotcha, so at some point I had a reputation notification. But, since that function is disabled now I'm not able to show that notification as read/notified therefore it's stuck on there? Makes sense, just wandering.

I'm unable to get a reputation comment notification to go away, it always say's '1'. I do not have any feedback or anything so I can't figure out what this is all about. Thanks! -Kelly

My oil filter upper gasket findings

I've searched for hours for an aftermarket gasket that will work for the bolt/canister gasket on the oil filter cans. I changed my oil today and had the front can start pouring oil after reusing the old gasket. After the searching for hours on the forum the best I could find was "A small chain...

    In-tank fuel pump wiring

Well, the pump is in the tank and the truck is running like a champ now. This Olympic pump is the ONLY way to go in my honest opinion. They were very helpful in making this kit available for us civy M35 guy's. The contents of the kit is shown in one of the photos. The wiring from the old pump...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

This week I got my deuce running again after 3-4 years of sitting. The in-tank fuel pump died and some of the wheel cylinders were leaking so bad that the pedal just goes to the floor. Work took over my life and the truck just sat. I ordered a brand new pump from Olympic Controls and replaced...
