G.P. Small Tent: Canvas Treatment ..... Cosmoline and Diesel?

When I was a young buck Sargent, I seem to remember that we would use a 50/50 mix of cosmoline and diesel fuel to treat the canvass bed covers for our deuces. Is old age playing tricks on my mind or does that mixture sound familiar to anyone. What do you guys use for your canvas?

    My M38A1

Picture of my M38A1 during my towns summer celebration. I bought it in 1996 and it took me a year to refurbish it. Took it all the way down to a bare frame, rebuilt the engine myself and refurbished all the parts in my garage. About time for a another overhaul, I want to redo the engine...

Almost done restoring my 1952 M38A1

Midwest Military is great to deal with. I've been to their shop a couple of time. Nicest guy you would ever want to do business with. He has one heck of a collection of vehicles, I got the chance to do a up close look of his command car.

    GL recovery. Your experiences plz

Got all my trucks from Camp Dodge, Iowa. Got in, started up and drove home. Stopped at the Casey's outside the main gate, topped off with diesel and was on my way. I used brake cleaner to remove the paint over the bumper numbers.

Possible deal? Blaine isn't that far, just 3.5 hours. Perhaps I could make a day trip and come check yours out and discuss a possible build for me. I can stop at Owatonna and Prior Lake to make the trip more interesting.
