    Yes. Run a hot lead to the injection pump. Look up the connections here. Then run a hot to the little wire going to the starter. If it's warm out, it should start without glow plugs. If not, you'll need to supply juice to that relay and to it's little wire to warm them. I've thought about...

    Tap N Die Starter Bolt holes. Yep it happened.

    Use a small, 1/8" bit to drill a pilot hole. A good, cobalt or similar bit is worth the money. Then go at it with the reverse, left handed bit.

    If it comes back, suspect where the fuse box bolts together at the firewall. Ignition switch too.

    Reconnected with a new cable. Same thing again only I caught it before I even had the ground all the way on the busbars. Disconnected the starter cable and no issues. The new, just installed Napa rebuilt starter is grounded out. When it went, it took my busbars with it , as they turned crispy...
