    Keeping a M1009 alive

I ended up ordering the sensor separately. It was a recommended product alongside the updated connector. I ended up paying an extra amount for it, maybe it was supposed to come with the connector - all other vendors for the sensors listed them together for around $45 and the sensor $8 alone...

Just a follow up, I ordered this same product from Amazon. Was the sensor supposed to come with it or just the harness? I only received the connector with the cable connectors pictured. Thanks

Thanks for the advice might look into that in the future. A lot of my wires and connectors are getting to be too fragile to move around without being overly cautious. few of the glow plug wires ripped while removing the cylinder head.

    Keeping a M1009 alive

Can anyone give me the PNs for the sensor assembly on the driver's side cylinder head? It is the one near the firewall, the connector snapped off. Also is there a good reference part list diagram for the engine assembly and accessories? I couldn't locate one in the 6.2 TM. Trying to tackle all...

No gasket on valve covers/oil pan? could you elaborate why? Are you suggesting RTV instead? I will look into removing the motor mount bolt as you suggest. I have just a floor jack, will that be enough to get the engine back in place to put the mount bolt back in? Thanks

    Keeping a M1009 alive

It has been awhile and I have come seeking advice and guidance. Quick run down, I am attempting a head gasket replacement with the block in the truck. I have removed the intake manifold, IP lines, return line, distributor. All rubber hoses seem very brittle so I am considering cutting and...

Does anyone know the PN for the hardline running off the lift pump to the fuel filter?

    Keeping a M1009 alive

I have replaced the fuel sender unit hoping it was just a bad seal on the tank or rusted connection. No luck. However, the fuel gauge is now reading correct to what is in the tank. Next thing I checked is if it was a fuel line alongside the frame rail. I removed the rubber supply line from the...

    Keeping a M1009 alive

Sorry for the delay in progress, life happened - lost a family member and school is moving into finals. Whenever the truck dies out air will hit the fuel filter box before the injectors is this typical of trapped air in the lines? I have also noticed that the fuel tank no longer has a...

    Keeping a M1009 alive

Is there a good way to tell if a starter has been fried? The thing just absolutely drains the piss outta my batteries in order for it to run at high speeds . I have to constantly keep the charger on the truck. Also is there a proper order the lines are to be bled? She'll run for a solid 2 - 3...
