Looking for seat hinge trim covers for 1985 CUCV 1009

Good luck with your quest. I think I grabbed the last set of hinge covers from a chevy dealer in NYC 15 years ago. My local dealer put out a nation wide parts search for me and one chevy dealer from NYC had a "dusty set" on the shelf.

    Slow photo downloading

Lately I have been getting real slow photo downloads from Steel Soldiers. Is it an issue from my system or is it a SS issue? All my other sites work just fine.

    M1028a2 Boom!!

Maybe the lou Maybe the loud boom was when one of the battery cells shorted out. Did either one of the old batteries look swelled or distorted? Batteries have been known to blow their top off when going bad. Also, double check your charging system. Make sure your not over-charging "cooking"...

    M1028a2 Boom!!

You have a bad cell in one of your batteries. I had the same issue several years back. To be safe, spend the money and replace both batteries. How I know this is? I was a cheapskate driver back in the 90s with my Ford F250 diesel. It wouldn't start on a cold day so I replace just one...

which battery caused the other to die?

It's always a good practice to replace both batteries at the same time. It's also a good time to check/clean all connections. Treat all connections by dabbing them with Ox-Guard or similar product Low performing batteries or corroded connections can cause the famous "under-hood magic smoke" and...

    M1010 Convoy Truck

Nice to see another fine example of saving/preserving and re-purposing a great historic vehicle. I commend you. I also see you are still trusting and using the Paradox rear cylinder cooling kit. I installed a kit on my 1008 several years ago and never looked back.

To be twisted around upside down on your back on the floor of your truck cab at your age is a very difficult position to be in. I only accomplished that move once, But I was 20 she was...
