    thanks for the info everyone, i will start this weekend with purging the fuel filter and the inj pump drain back line of air . Just make sure about the drain back line we are talking about, its line number 10 on the image right?

    Mogman if I had a leak on the suction side of the pump , I would have a fuel leak which I do not have.

    Yes I remove the plate and used grease for the rod , the rod held in place 100%

    Still after driving it? All this is caused by air? should I just open a injector line while truck is running, will this rid of all the air or is there other thinks I must do to get all the air out of the fuel system Thanks

    First time posting for some help, I have a 2002 M1045A2 with 6.5 . Truck started , idled, and drove like a Swiss watch, and then got a leak in the mechanical fuel pump. I removed it , ordered the new pump and installed it 2 weeks later. After install I cranked the engine and it started right...
