I love generator noise like biscuits and gravy!

took 5 photos with my cell phone, sent them to my e mail address and only one shows up. i measured 26-36 vac from the pully at the front of the engine and measured it going into the rectifier, nothing is coming out of the rectifier no matter which way i measure it. I'll paste in a...

yes, item 7. There are two under that transparent cover plate (#6) it'll take me a couple days to get photos on here. I'll see what sort of a TM I can find but when I was looking at them a 4A084 wasn't seen, not on a first pass.

I love generator noise like biscuits and gravy!

I have 2ea. 5k's and one 10K. this 10k i got from my neighbor where it's been sitting outside for a few years. I got it running and it sounds fine, it indicates 240vac available but it is not charging the batteries. I believe it is the rectifier that has a small plastic container on the...

    Found a gas powered wrecker

all vehicles I believe had to be able to travel a certain distance in convoy. maybe wreckers were exempt but I doubt it. I also can't see wreckers getting a ''special'' enlarged fuel tank! I'd say 3 gallons for a 10 mint idle .......... something is amiss?

    Found a gas powered wrecker

haha, well , one wonders what magic could be invoked during the creation of the TM to 'conform' to specs but honestly, I do not want to believe there is chicanery involved building a TM. but fuel consumption is a consideration, doctrine encourages the US to attack with 5x the enemies...

    She go in gear

yea, I did that on a cat dozer, in fact washed all the steering clutches in diesel. the right side came lose with a loud clang after some back and forth. if you're working in -20 F weather it could be dragging. My '44 weapons carrier you DO NOT engage the pto and the main xmission at the...

    Found a gas powered wrecker

we know gph is a realistic measurement but ............. with military we're not driving too many hours! but the TM........... 1 mpg less than diesel. I suppose that's conceivable on flat level ground maybe at about 70% output? BUT WHO'S TO ARGUE WITH A TM?

    Found a gas powered wrecker

I think it looks like it was recently parked. I couldn't really use it but someone should want it. I'll be the mileage is atrocious with that gas engine! I hope someone rescues it.

    Stolen Radio!

has there been any news on this theft? I'm sort of wondering if that radio was even possible to own? harris packed a ton of stuff into those chassis, money wasn't much of a consideration.

Is there a good preservative or protectant to use on cables?

ok us6x4 with only a couple sips of coffee i embarked on what turned out to be a pre-coffee odysee where I found usa signal mirrors, (very nice) a pot stash relic from the 70's and some other interesting stuff but NOT that green wrinkled soft tube of silicone krap. I KNOW it's around here...
