What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I see these trucks as a say a Hot Rod or any other custom car / motorcycle / etc. They are to be built, modified, and maintained to the owners digression. What's the 1st thing a Harley-Davidson owner does when he gets his new bike home from the dealer ? Takes off the ugly ass reflectors on his...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Never been a fan of them so I ditched them. I added marker lights ala a civilian Hummer H1 so my truck is more then noticeable.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Starting to prep the truck for paint so I decided to start the ever so fun task of plugging all these random holes on the truck. wanted something that looked factory and would last so the plastic plug route wasn't a option. Decided to go with some carriage bolts in various sizes to resemble the...

    wheel/tire options - budget minded?

Black Rhino makes a wheel in 17" and 18" sizes which looks very "military" and is not priced all too bad. I run them in a 17x9.5 with a Cooper Discover STT Pro tire in a 40x13.5x17 size.. My tires were more then the wheels themselves !

Joe The Barber;s 1988 M998 build thread (be aware - non stock content ! )

The grab handles are a generic alum. handle I got off the Evil-Bay. We scuffed them up and painted them Rapco rattlecan green and they look like AM General installed them when the truck was new. One of the best things I have done to the truck.

Joe The Barber;s 1988 M998 build thread (be aware - non stock content ! )

I bought a Air Horn kit from Air Horns of Texas online. It comes with whatever horn you choose, 4 gallon tank, 24volt compressor, lines, etc. I had the guys who worked on my truck add a 2nd 4 gallon tank for extra capacity and the quick release chuck so I can fill up tires, run small air tools...

Joe The Barber's 1988 M998 build thread (be aware - non stock content ! ) Been a long time coming but in December 2017 I became the owner of a 1988 M998. I have wanted one of these trucks since around 1998 when I worked at Circuit City (remember those stores ?) in the car stereo department and...
