The Correct answer is ,,,, Maybe. you would likely want to wash the old grease out and put new in and if it is a sealed bearing that comes with complications like the seals.

Heck the wallered out alternator pulley on my 200A sounded like a knock, I knew it wasn't but it sure banged around.

Might run a compresson test on it too. can reveal a lot. sometimes stuck valves or bent pushrods... can result in odd noises that sound like a knock.

I'd do a compression check and or Leakage check on that cylinder and see if the adjacent cylinder has the same issue. Hope it didn't hydraulic lock...

Apply 24VDC to the clutch coil and see if it clicks in. if not it could be a bad clutch. Check the High/Low pressure switches. Check the Temp Switch... all of these are bypassable.

Updates, the fuel mileage reduced from 13MPG to 12MPG... The Temp on an Extreme hot day has increased 10 degrees from 180 to 190... this is with the two wire connector disconnected. sitting still in traffic does cause the temp to increase a little bit.
