It is not enough pressure to open the cap, but to bleed out coolant out of the thermostat housing and under the hose above the housing. It´s not much, but it´s something. Overnight is short, of cause, but I am thinking that there shouldn´t been any pressure in the system when it is cooled down...

Well, i don´t think that the thermostat is bad. because when the engine is getting hot, the system starts to leak. when the truck cools down, one or two days, ther is still pressure in the system. sounds like you´re opening a coke when I open the cap... May be the cylinderhead gasket is...
