Yeh, tried that too. Used penetrating oil a couple of times over 24-hours. I’ll try a C-clamp tomorrow, maybe it will press out.

Rolling around under my 88' M1026, I discovered this overhaul tag. Obviously the place was Fort Polk but what would be the date as stamped "222"? Thanks for your help.

Yes, that's what I suspected since non of the typical sites for parts even mention the o-ring. Appreciate this site and all who give advice and knowledge!

Sorry for being the new guy and still learning to maneuver the TM's. My 88' M-1026 6.2L has an oil leak puddling at the base of this part. Not too bad but like to fix it. Can't tell if it's at the base or the fitting in the middle. Is there a common failure here? I hate to replace good parts.

YAY!! Unrestricted on road title arrived after 4 1/2 months! So happy, my M-1026 got an oil change and a brand new flag today. Then a 1-hour drive around town to celebrate.

I had the exact same problem , maybe a bit worse. Replaced idler arm and both lower front ball joints. Thought I was driving a completely different truck, so happy and relatively inexpensive.
