    Good bye for now

Hey everyone, Well, it was a little over 15 months ago that the to be later named "Bio-Beast" became a part of our motor-pool when my oldest son bought her. I owned her myself for nearly the last 12 months. However, that all ended yesterday when she went to live with Carpenter and his wife...

    How bad is this flywheel?

Speaking of eating up the starter and/or flywheel - been there, just did that! 3 or 4 months ago I had a broken starter bolt, so the starter shifted and made a terrible grinding noise when I tried to start my M1009. Got new bolts (and the missing support bracket) and we're good to go, right...

Where can I get my M1009 dirty, near NW Atlanta area?

CJ, Our M1009 has been in the family since Jan. and we've been to the abandoned quarry, down miles of National Forest roads and power lines, and to Durhamtown twice already. We go slow and steady (mostly), no air, no rock crawling, and we haven't broken anything major yet. We have gotten...

What is the largest diameter wheel that fits a M1009

Are you saying I have to get a higher lift in order to run larger diameter wheels/tires, in order to get higher ground clearance for the differentials?

What is the largest diameter wheel that fits a M1009

They told me there'd be no math when I bought my CUCV. Assume a 2" suspension lift, and I don't want to cut my fenders. Does that help?

What is the largest diameter wheel that fits a M1009

An off-road vehicle is only as tall as it's lowest point, so I want my differentials as high off the ground as possible. My thinking was that the only way to do that is run the largest diameter wheel(and tire?) as possible. I currently have a 2" suspension lift with 33x12.5x15 tires. Suggestions?

Lights in the grill guard - show me your pics!

I ended up with a set from Wal-mart for around $25.00. Mounted them in existing holes and connected them to existing wiring. 55 watts each; look good and every extra watt helps.

    First trip to Durhamtown

I can't make it to the 2011 GA rally this week, so my youngest son and I went to Durhamtown Plantation for the first time this past Saturday. Two works - LOVED IT! We did get off to a rough start though. Within 10 minutes of getting on the first trail we were up to the hubs in that red...
