Another reason to buy a truck with a C7 or 3126, you know how many miles and hours the engine has run.

Nope the belt would slip on the driving pulley with that little wrap around. It might be possible with the serpentine arrangement but not V belts. You also don't want to tension V belts on the back side.

Looks like prices have come down but some of the most recent ones selling are junk. I would imagine finding parts would be difficult, if not extremely expensive.

If you have a hand throttle you do not have a C7 and cannot use this method to add cruise.

The early 2005s were WTEC III, later 2005s and up were WTEC IV. That's about the only difference. The C7 was used with the A1R in late 2004 and newer.

I had a compressor on my A1 throw a rod.

The 2008+ rear axle is nothing dissimilar to the standard 1078 axle in terms of how it's mounted.

I would say every LMTV I've driven has shifted "hard" however the term hard is relative. They certainly don't shift as smooth as a Cadillac.

That's great one of my customers is having problems with his repower I will send him your way. I saw that truck at the auction I'm surprised the engine wasn't damaged. Wasn't the transmission busted in half?

There was a change in the valve body and wiring going from the WTEC III to WTEC IV. I'm sure it can be done but there is a more to it that what you think.

There is quite a bit of difference in the electrical system of the 3116 trucks and the C7 trucks. You will also need to use the C7 transmission, and WTECIV controller.

I was told something different, they could be manufactured, 6 piece order $6500 each.
