A. I'm not a mechanic nor even pretend to be. B The front springs are not too bad but the rear should be left to the "talented" shade tree bunch. Screw it up and they can put your lights out! My two cents.
Sonnax makes a few items that can improve the durability of the 4l80 also. Just in case you have to open it up again NMWR 9-2520-582 might help. NICE work!
Don't want to see any more, too much experience r and r'ing fuel tanks already. I believe there is a picture of a guys 1114 tank on here that is incredible.
Wire screen in the back of the fuel pump probably needs eyeballing also. Did it have the coalescer in the center of the fuel filter? Looks like you own tools and are not afraid to uses them! Good looking project.
If the turbo is spinning freely my next stop would be to inspect and clean the catalytic converter. And yea, where did you tap into the manifold at? At least two inquiring minds would like to know......
Before any more remedial work i would pull one side of the turbo or the other down to the point you can get a finger on the pin wheel in the housing and make sure it spins freely. From your explanation i think it's frozen. Turbo seals can and do leak.

Everyone is correct about leaving it and I suggest you only replace it with the "real" replacement part with the screw in the center.
