    Hi Plowboy, I am glad to see that you still have the 51 CHEV. I still miss mine sometimes. Re the museum ask your friends in PPCLI perhaps some were stationed at Shilo. They may have taken the collection out to your neck of the woods.

    The museum at CFB Shilo has a generals van mounted on a diamond t 4 tonner or it did 20 years ago. Perhaps someone can get some pictures for you.

    re mdf I would not recommend MDF as it is very heavy and offers poor structural characteristics. I would use Baltic plywood. It is made up of many layers of hardwood. and is much stronger. Reinforcing the plywood with some hardwood strips would create more strength and might allow you to work...

    Find out if different hubs/bolt patterns where available from the axle manufacturer often it is just a simple hub swap.

    The XL12.5 will mount on the stock rim. There are lots of pic of them on both stock m35 and m135 rims. Look at eastern surplus and alfa heaven for said pictures.
