    genset loadbanks

NorthernTool.com has a couple overhead garage heaters on clearance today. 5000w for $76.99 pics show 3/4/5 kw settings 7500w for $65.99 pics show 7.5/5 kw settings Both of those are a "Keebar" brand, which I've never tried nor heard of before, but the price is cheap...

Hey, at least it still lives on as a parts machine! 👍 Thanks for sharing your experiences with the community.

    Running mep002/003 on sea foam

I saw a gallon can of Seafoam at Menard's yesterday.

    Tampa/St. Petersburg Diesel tech needed

If the secondary filter was only half full, you likely still have air in the fuel system. You'll probably need to prime it for a while longer to get all of the air out. There are a pair of bleed screws on top of the secondary filter head. I'd crack the left screw a turn or 2 and prime it until...

    MEP806A Stanadyne injector pump stuck

Didn't they start making the 80x series around 1993? Any chance the 1995 MEP006A is actually an 806A? That could explain a JD engine.

    AK5 ECU 5T Heatpump

I'm no expert, but that looks like a 60 amp 3 phase 5-wire plug. It might say 32-12 inside where the pins come out. Here's an older thread with some more info: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/isuzu-powered-drash-5-pin-connectors.199832/ As far as a compatible generator goes, that...

    Fuel Fliter Cartridge Gaskets 803a

Dug this up from one of my old posts in a different thread: Wix 33348 canister cartridge comes with the large diameter o-ring for the edge of the bowl. The pair of small rubber washers/gaskets that go around the bolt were both in Wix 15398 (gasket kit). I couldn't find any locally, so I...

    Winterizing MEP-803A

What does your place have for heat source(s)? (Furnace, heat pump, space heaters, fireplace, etc.) I know the 803 at my in-law's will barely run half of their electric furnace, and that's with all other breakers turned off for that house. Their furnace has a pair of 240V 60A breakers. The...

    MEP-803 exhaust extension

If you need more space, you could use a coupler meant for electrical conduit. That would take the same pipe thread, and it's a fair amount thinner than the black or galvanized plumbing fittings.

    MEP-803A Cogeneration/CHP Combined Heat & Power

What about something like this along with a npt to hosebarb fitting? This is from listing on ebay for a "New Frost Plug Heater Bushing Adapter 3/4" FNPT thread, 1-1/4" BUSHING, 32 MM OD". I can't guarantee it'd fit, but it seems like it could work if it were the right size.

That's not an old thermostat is it?

New to Mep-803A ownership general questions

Seems like you're making progress! I don't remember if you mentioned earlier, but are your metering pumps made by Stanadyne or Delphi?

New to Mep-803A ownership general questions

I shared some pics a while back when I was working in a stuck metering pump. In my case I only had to take the top half of my pump apart, but there might be something useful in these pics: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep80xa-injector-pump-leak.209170/post-2441547...

    New owner of MEP 802A

Last time I was at my local Menard's store, I noticed they had a modest selection of free used appliances in the backyard near the lumber. An oven could make an easy load bank, and free is a nice round number. :D

    MEP-805b exhaust pipe size

Since no one else has chimed in yet, I'll take a stab. If the physical dimension of the outside of the exhaust pipe is 3.5", then it's likely 3" NPT. A cheap way to confirm would be to go to the local hardware store and find a cheap threaded PVC or ABS (drain) fitting or cap and see if it fits.
