That's a good idea too. Take off that crossover pipe that goes to the muffler and see what happens. Ground wire check would be a good thing.
Brad sent me a video of the fuel pump output and it seems to be inadequate compared to the stock fuel pump output that I have seen.

Go check the fuel inlet line to the carburetor. There is a fitting where the line goes in and on top of that is a wire screen that gets clogged up and causes exactly what you are describing. Remove that fitting and check the wire screen. Here is a picture of one I dealt with that was causing...

Could some of the cracks in the cast iron be welded and repaired? I'm not a welder and know nothing about it, but I have seen some weld it with success. They weren't welding engine or transmission castings though.
I have driven an M135 with the 1 1/4 bore cylinders and an M211 with the 1 3/8 Canadian upgrade. Both worked very well with stock master cylinder and I honestly couldn't tell a lot of difference. I drove the M211 that had the 1 3/8 wheel cylinders from Big Timber, MT to Bozeman and back, as well...
