    USCG-11 1942 WWII 75th D-Day Rescue Boat Display Event (Seattle, WA - 6/5 to 6/9)

Come check out our progress of the restoration of this piece of history. We will be having our first public viewing of the USCG-11, a 1942 83ft wooden hulled Coast Guard cutter that served as a rescue vessel during the 1944 Normandy D-Day landings. We have a long way to go, but feel it's...

Registering an M1078 in Washington State

Also Alpine License in Issaquah is a good resource - I have gotten them used to doing oddball stuff - I even worked through a year of "No's" to get my LVT-4 titled and licensed as a boat after getting the USCG to register it as a documented vessel. All of my 6x6 rigs, trailers, and ORV stuff...

Looking for info on Walter Kidde E32R2 flame thrower compressor

Gotcha - do you have any overall pictures of the skid and compressor assembly?

    5 Ton Lug Nut Torque

I have the same break down wrench - been using it on ship engines for 2 years now, Precision makes nice stuff - I also got the extendable breaker bar and a 1" drive head to go along with the 3/4" head... They also set me up with a spare spud that goes between the head and the first extension or...

    M51A2 dump bed install questions

The easy way to tell is compare the bolt holes for mounting the tail lamp to where the clearance hole for the wire is - if they are almost all in line it's an early round tail lamp if the wire hole is a fair bit below the center line of the bolt holes it is for the later teardrop tail lamps...

What have you done WITH your wrecker this week?

Making radials fly again Took a quick jaunt down to central CA to snag two Guiberson Radial Diesels that were in the M3 Stuarts and are going to support the motor going in the LVT... Also assorted logging and property projects but no pictures there - she gets used about every other day Enjoy...

Still some since he can't get under the house but he certainly likes to chow down on them - eats every last bit

That's Gunnar - he's mine - 2.5 y/o full Montana Bitterroot Bobcat - weighs about 30 lbs He's got free range around the place and then inside at night - we've had him since he was about 1lb and 26 days old Acts a lot like a dog at times but is lots of fun; super busy and curious though -...

I drive by pyro on my pickup now after lancing holes in 2 pistons of a 6.5 due to a overfueling condition I did not know about (no pyro installed) ... And no build on the trailer yet - will start one when it comes time to really get going on it

It's the 855 Cummins Naturally Aspirated - was kinda acting like a dog towing the wrecker so I need to turn up the fuel and get a turbo on that thing... Will need a boost and pyro then too...

I am building a RGN beam trailer with hydraulics to pick it up by the belly - it'll be 8ft of deck width and the tracks can hang over the edges - the LVT has 100" between the inside edge of the tracks... Since I am modifying the trailer I get to set the height to whatever - the core I am using...

I wonder if that's the phantom one in Canby, OR - been talking to a guy off and on for a few years who said he helped the owner of that tractor work on some other vehicle projects but the LVT was buried in the back of a warehouse... I've been trying to get access to just see it for a few years...

I am still working on the transport angle - hence the 931... I have a 5th wheel trailer I am going to modify and yes it's 11ft wide so that adds another layer into the mix... This one has been repowered with a 6 cyl diesel in the bed - it originally had a Continental W670A 7 cyl radial up...

No chain pulling - only the thing that does that around my place is the wrecker... Yep it's a 1945 LVT-4 from the Buffalo NY Icebreaker fleet - got it trucked home last June - finishing the walls on the shop before I get going on it... There is a good thread here...
