    M1009 heater blower switch

    You can check the motor first without pulling it. Just disconnect the lead and connect it to 12 volts. Make sure you have a good ground to the fan housing.

    Only one speed sounds like the resistor coils are bad. They are located under the hood in the blower housing. Easily accessed and removed. Two screws hold it in the box. Most auto parts stores should have the blower motor. It is a common item that fits many applications.

    Dynamat/Roof Sealer removal NIGHTMARE!

    I removed the army applied coating from my o9 with a HF heat gun. Worked real good. I will be applying the Raptor bed linere material to the floor and cargo area.

    Looks like a nice ride my friend. I hope it is good shape for you. Mine was pretty good shape too. Still working on it, prepping for floor liner, and painting . I'm too much peferctionist though. Trying to get all the dings out. But bye and bye maybe it will get done. Best to just clean them...

    The M1009 were designated as .75 ton on the option sheet by their mother GM . and so they are .75 ton. It's not nice to fool mother.:deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:

    TM 9-2320-289-34P, Figure 127 shows an exploded view with parts identified. Also in TM 9-2320-289-20 , section 8-9 are instructons for steering wheel removal.

    Also check the TM again maybe a different one than you looked at. There is a exploded view of the entire steering column mechanism. I may be mistaken but I think the dimmer switch is located down on the outside of the column and actuated via a small rod. The window washer switch however is...

    Hello, dennisS, yes you must remove the steering wheel, then a ring clip on the shaft , remove the steering lock plate. Then the screw in the ignition lock cylinder is accessable. You may do a search and find more info. Good Luck:D

    Map Light

    Hey guys, and thanks. My 9 does have the under dash light. I just liked the military look of the one on Sharecropper's truck; since mine is also missing the dash emblem. Neat looking pelican light. Would be handy and easy to use.:beer:
