Thank you all! Gen is up and running great. Another quick question. How clean is the sinewave on these generators? I am having a problem with a new solar charger. It's not acting right and putting out faults. The company Cotek is trying to put the blame on my generator. I can't believe it is the generator, as it runs everything else perfectly including electronics and my other solar chargers.
Thanks all
Regards
For generator power, it should be quite clean.

What model Cotek do you have? Have you double checked voltage and frequency for what the Cotek is expecting (on the 1030, and the settings on the Cotek)?

Do you have any other loads on the circuit besides the Cotek solar/generator charger? Do you have more than one Cotek inverter charger on the same circuit? Do you have any EMI filters on the Cotek charger?

Some solar chargers, especially ones equipped for grid tied usage can be very finicky about frequency stability, though Cotek claims some pretty wide tolerances.

FWIW: If you have more than one charger, the chargers may be generating enough EMI noise to be interfering with each other.

All the best, 2PbFeet

Thanks all.
Went back and forth with the tech at Inverter Supply. Finally got a 3 way call with a senior engineer at Cotek. He was thinking it was the 1030. So after a 40 minute conversation decided to try another generator. He wanted me to put it on grid power to test it. Lol. Impossible as the closest grid power was over 12 miles a way. Both the 1030 and 531a would cause the same problem on the Cotek SC 3000 124. The engineer said most newer consumer generators would work. I had a newer Generac, less than a year old. I moved it up and it gave the same result. I triple checked the settings on the dip switches and the charger still wouldn't work. Even with the batteries down to 23.6 volts.
I am returning the Cotek.
Two days ago, I was speaking to a friend of mine. He is a retired electrical engineer. He says, let's go check you generator. He brought over his digital oscilloscope and he seemed to think it was pretty clean. Looked like the above picture.
I really didn't think it was the 1030. It runs the charger on the Magnum MS 4024 pae perfectly. It also run all the home electronics. So currently I am thinking of getting another Magnum. Evidently it might be a bit, they are on backorder.
Thanks again
Regards
