    4 Inch Exhaust?

Exhaust out the back makes a BIG difference! The motor is a high compression motor, so it makes it's own noises. But moving the exhaust down and back makes the biggest difference you could for these trucks.

60 Series Detroit Diesel Help Needed

This causes the leak down issue when sitting that makes it really hard to start, and the first minute or few to run SUPER rough. But it would smooth out 'some'. Air getting into the system is the easy answer. Sensors should show up on codes though.

    M808/ m818

Oh, I like the exhaust brakes a lot as well. I have had them on a couple pickups so far. Really help warm up a motor, or keep it from running too cold when it's really cold outside. Heck, some of the old 10 tons with the big V8 cummins had an exhaust brake (to slow it down for shifting mainly.)

    M808/ m818

Be careful with exhaust brakes on older motors. They can easily create more back pressure than the exhaust valve springs can hold and actually open the exhaust valves. Not good! They are simple and do work good. Not nearly as good as the Jakes on the heads though.

    24v to 12v

For larger 12v demands, and to help keep the batteries balanced (Especially since you can run a single 12v batteries in series for 24v, but a number of 12v batteries in parallel for higher 12v demands.) Run a battery equalizer. You can used one off of buses, etc. for fairly small $ considering...

M920 - Passenger tank install, battery and air tank relocation

Btw, I pull off the stock 5th wheel, cut the ramps shorter and mounted one from my 818 further back. So I do have some room I could put stuff right behind the winch on the cat walk. Or maybe lower them down 'some'. But that is right where all the lift axle stuff is at. But I could put the...

M920 - Passenger tank install, battery and air tank relocation

I have to also watch all the stuff for my lift axle on the 920 as well.

M920 - Passenger tank install, battery and air tank relocation

M920 - Passenger tank install, battery and air tank relocation? Ok, I picked up another fuel tank with brackets to install on the passenger side of my M920. I obviously need to relocate the batteries, air tank(s) and move the exhaust back some. I was planning on keeping one air tank about the...

    2018 PNW Rally/ FE/Convoy

Make the trip! We will try and provide a dinner-ish on Saturday. Not entirely sure what the main course will be this year. Otherwise it is a bring your own food kind of deal. Of course, last year I think there was enough food to feed a medium sized army.

Extended range 118 gallon fuel tank install on a M923

So jealous of you guys getting a hold of those tanks with all the extra steps on them! Nice job btw.

M920, to keep or swap out 5th wheel setup

Ok, cut down the 920 ramps to work with the 5th wheel off the 818.

M920, to keep or swap out 5th wheel setup

Ok, I broke a few of my 3/4" sockets, but I got the ramps and 5th wheel off the 920. Then I took off the 5th wheel from my 818 and located roughly the same distance from the rear of the frame rails so I should have enough clearance. I was originally going to swap over the ramps off the 818, but...

    Couple issues with M920

Replaced the overhead clearance lights with the LED ones, very nice difference! Replaced the headlight switch. The original harness must have melted, and there were random colored wires just plugged into the switch. So I had to do a lot of trial and error, but all the dash lights work and dim...

    Couple issues with M920

Interesting! I figured they would flash way to fast, or not at a speed that works. Guess I will find out soon enough.

    Couple issues with M920

I will replace the headlight switch tomorrow. I will run a relay for the headlights, even though I will have LED headlights for this truck in a couple weeks. I still prefer to keep the headlights on their own power, and just use the switch to signal the relay. Next step is to do a relay setup...
