    so in another lifetime I sold parts. We had a simple way to help people determine if the belt or component was the issue. Use a plain ole bar of soap and let it rub while the belt is moving. If the noise goes away, belt is bad. Soap wont cure a bad pulley bearing, tensioner etc....

    Mine is older M998 so I am not familiar with the serpentine belt set ups but there are many posts on here with the information depending on serial number, ac, and turbo from what I recall. Use your friend google but verify :cool:

    Yes but it is masking the real problem probably. The rubber is older and deteriorating. The belt dressing is lubricating & softening the rubber and buying you time. I would recommend non military belts from your neighborhood parts store preferably a name brand like Dayco, Gates, Goodyear etc...

    I can help facilitate any donation to the National WWII museum as I am in New Orleans. They have at least 2 dodge power wagons or predecessors of the era. I don't recall the model numbers offhand.... Those rims could be original. Not sure if the original m101 had combat wheels? You have a M101...

    3/4-16 tpi is the thread size confirmed by another member on the other thread you posted on. Note there is a right thread and left thread on these. The outer size for socket or wrench is 1-1/2

    A pp7 is a bendix product. Pretty common valve. It is out there new and rebuilt. I see Amazon has a new clone no name under $30 I don't see a rebuild kit though by Bendix. Truck pro or Napa should stock. Search pp7 on ebay gives you a ton of listings. Just make sure same ports as yours. See...

    Is this a daily driver or occasional antique use? State Farm in La does my m998 as antique/classic. It takes an agent who understands antique/classic coverage. I had to provide pics and value I wanted policy to cover. ymmv

    The abs light could be a gizmo fried when your PCB failed but ABS has its own brain, sensors, and electronics separate than PCB. There is a diagnostics port by the passenger dash to pull code with a midland abs code reader.
