v100 in 4th of July Parade

Here's a short video taken from our v100 in the annual 4th of July parade here in Carrollton. I also included a photo taken by someone on the parade route. https://youtu.be/nA8MMsNAJl0

    Bullet proof glass

http://pasarmor.com/services/ I've used these folks and their prices were quite a bit less than others that quoted my project. ETA: Glass weathers much better than acrylic or polycarbonate, but if you have a low traffic, indoor application it will work great.

    4l80 swap into m114

I've done it twice. The length is something that you'll need to work around and there's some creative U-joint work that can be done as well.

    My M715

Hello Jim, I built these using Budd bands and my own centers back in the 90's. I am thinking about making a set of adapters for current military aluminum wheels now since there are several types that should work out nicely. When that happens, I'll probably put the ones on it now on the market as...

    M114 Torsion Bar removal

If there's not enough of the exposed bar to weld to, drive it out from the opposite side.

    Paint color M114

Last one I did was 24087 Rapco OD Green semi gloss exterior with seafoam green interior. Some of the earlier machines also had white interior.

    My M715

Thank you for the kind words. Mine rarely gets driven either and it still has stock ring and pinion gears, but does have lockers installed. At some point I'd like to do the overdrive transmission and a couple other things, but right now we still have too many irons in the fire.

Starting the overhead console. This (along with the cover panels that are not shown) is made from aluminum then covered in Cordura to match the rest of the interior.

    My M715

Thank you. We designed and fabricated it, along with many other parts ourselves. It is made from stainless steel since that is what we work with the most. As soon as we finish the overhead console and the switch panel, we will take more photos and post.

    T114 and M114 differences

They both used the same vision blocks and the entire assembly on the top hat variant rotated where the top ring and doors rotated on the clam shell. Overall height wasn't much different though. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=124498&d=1242911737

    T114 and M114 differences

The clam shell is the two piece but the one piece (which looks more like a clam opening up) is referred to as a "top hat" cupola...I have a couple clam shell cupolas and one top hat variant...but it was from a later vehicle.

    T114 and M114 differences

For the most part, all the cupolas will interchange. Even the turret on a V100 will bolt right on. Noticeable exterior characteristics include the clam shell cupola, flush mounted front engine plate, rigid front/rear fenders, direction of the fire extinguisher pull and subtle differences on the...

    My M715

Will do. I have lots of photos going back to around 1978 when it was a fire truck for a small community in Tennessee that I grew up in. Back before all the roads were paved, this machine was quite popular but as roads were improved, communities grew and equipment was upgraded, this M715 was...

    My M715

It's a 20T hook, with another on the front side. Functional but way past the capabilities of the winches they're installed on. This vehicle is to play with and show off, not necessarily something to beat around in because the 440 evidently loves the taste of fuel

Need advice on a custom project

Pitch diameter of the drive sprocket is all that's needed. The thickness of the track wouldn't have any affect of the distance per revolution unless the track never left the sprocket (as in being completely wrapped around it much like a tire on a rim)
