Yeah that's a good idea. I did have a 1 quart container laying around, but I figured going up and down with it 20 times would be a pain. But maybe it would have worked out better.
Finally got my oil change done today.. REALLY need to buy myself some kind of transfer pump. Holding a 5 gallon bucket of oil over the engine bay, and carefully pouring it for 10 or 15 minutes is not enjoyable. Oil has not been done since the military did it in 2010, and it was pretty black. No...
Went ahead and ordered a NOS tire inflator with glad hand attachment, and a NOS chain hoist for the spare tire crane (my truck came empty, with no tools, etc.) I was also hoping to get my oil change done later today, but now they are calling for some not so nice weather :(
Changed out my trans oil to normal fluid today, and changed the external spin on filter. Date on the filter showed that the last time it was changed was 2012. Took me 5 hours, including 1/2 hour lunch, 2 15 minute breaks (really hot and humid today,) and 1/2 hour back and forth to the parts...
