That’s a totally non looked up question. There’s a bunch of how to do or who can help answers here. Do you have a title or bill of sale ?? Not trying to be the @$$hole here but …… use the search , there are company’s out there like your local tag shop or someone like dirt legal that can give you...
I’m having the same overheating issue. Fan works great but under load it heats up quickly , I replaced the t-stat first thinking it was the issue but it still gets hot. was gonna scope the top of radiator to see if it’s plugged when I replaced the upper hose but haven’t gotten around to it yet...

I did not remove the metal parts on the bottom of the original master cylinder cap when I did the job. Others have said you need to do that but my experience so far it made no difference.
I think that fitting is a check valve. It may not let fluid into the master cylinder only lets air out...
I thought the only difference from the 5 ton and 2.5 ton motors were the intake manifold and air inlet ( air filter etc). I got a m109 that has the bigger intake and a turned up ip and that thing flys uphill way better than my M35a2

Have you pulled the ip head to make sure the button is still attached ? It migh be loose and only staying attached when the rpm’s get up there. I hated pulling that whole assembly off because it wouldn’t start. Turned ou it was the ip head button off and the piston wouldn’t drop all the way down.
I would start by checking for broken wires and bad grounds. Melting the cover 😳 are you sure the correct lamps are in the correct receptacle ? The top lamp should be for turn signal and middle is for parking lights. Bottom is blackout turn. I’m pretty sure.
The only experience That I had with any sort of a V-8 replacing a straight 6 was after the V-8 had failed ( still ran but the thrust bearing was wasted ) it was in a M-211 GMC and the 302 6 was replaced with a 455 V8 It don’t have any of the low end tork the straight 6 had ( I had an M-135 at...
