What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Also check your vibration damper, make sure it’s not coming apart.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour… you’re gonna see some serious sh.!

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Stationary high idle (1800rpm ish) using mine as an air compressor cycles my fan even more than hard pulls in the hills. I usually run 180-200 as well.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

220 seems too high for the fan and 200 too high for the thermostat, but the spread seems about right for your gauge being off. I think you can get a cheap gun a harbor freight, shoot your thermostat housing and the pipe around the shutterstat to verify. Hopefully your just your gauge is off, and...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Thanks for the update on Ahab, good to hear he’s well! Keep us posted on if you notice anything different with the screen removed. I want to start with the small things to try and boost my performance while hopefully lowering my EGT’s, and hope I can get some good data along the way to prove...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

75%+ tread Michelin XL 14.00R20, on combat wheel, with bead lock, NOT runflat. Eventually I would like to go to 395s like Toby to gain a little flotation, tire capacity, and hopefully a little bit of fully loaded starting torque, then crank the governor up to get back to 70mph cruise speed...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yes it will! It only takes one stupid thing to tear your back up, and no real way to make it the same again.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Put my new flag on and pulled my brain fart out of the swamp.

Drop the top so you can jump up on the hood and do your monkey boy dance. “rat ta tat that azz”

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yep, no chance if their hitch is 2’ higher than yours. Your weight becomes theirs. Maybe hook him to the boom of a M936 or put 20 ton of sand in your bed and hope he wheelies out or tares the back of his truck off...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Are the double overdrive transmissions high enough to compensate for the loss of the od transfer case?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

If the venue will allow it, using the hand throttle may help prevent, or control the severity of the wheel hop.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I wish you where closer, I have a stack of road plates, we could put in your bed.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Minus some common hardware, this is the meat of what was replaced by the kit. all three original parts would be easy to modify. I’ll try to search up a past tread and post some dimensions and these instructions, hopefully in the next couple of day.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yeh, Ive watched a few cheap civilian truck come and go, timing and location hasn’t been right yet for me to go pick one up yet. I have a list of excuses that rivals your high horsepower nemesis’ list... I probably need to keep an eye out for a better transfer case also.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

If I ever find a different motor for my other truck, I could maybe come off of some of the parts on it.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Post up an ad in the wanted section. Someone used to have a pile of them, unfortunately I think it was a member who has since passed? I’ll try to dig up the NSN for the kit after a bit. Wouldn’t be too hard to make...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Finally found the picture of the original factory setup.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Look at the throttle arm on the side of your pump. Originally the throttle linkage was connected at the second hole up, from my pinky finger, on the new part it is moved all the way out to the end of the arm.
