I drove my Deuce to work every day for the last few days & this morning, the actuator arm for the electric wipers dropped down in my face when I hit a big bump. Looking further after stopping, the joint that fastens both arms together had wallowed out & no longer holds the assembly together. So...
I bought new rifle holder kits so that when the weather cools off & quits raining; there can be some new military rifle holders added to the cabs interior. When the coyotes start howling, I can go get some target practice in. Beats putting them in the rear window on a a standard horizontal...
I started removing the troop seats wood, belt sanding off the old finish & unsound wood & recoating with several coats of OD green enamel paint I had. Getting the old nuts off the bolts is really the hard part, the rest is just sand & paint time.
I was checking out the batteries, since some AF mechanic made a battery holder out of a piece of pallet wood & found a loose (+) wire going to the truck. The batteries that came with it were good, but they were swapped with two Interstate batteries of a larger CCA capacity. Anyway, during the...

The fuel...

This doesn't count as what I did to my Deuce this weekend, but I did go look @ a half dozen deuces to try & find the one I want to buy...........getting closer to that day when the drive home is @ hand! I'm not that picky, just trying to fit the condition of the Deuce to the price tag!
