7MC-2A & MC-2A (USAF) Towable Diesel Air Compressors

Well the CD with the manuals arrived, both the operators manual and the service/overhaul/parts list, but they cannot be posted here on SS. They are Restricted because of some Technical Data and haven't been approved for Public Release, so no posting them here. Too bad, since they are the...

7MC-2A & MC-2A (USAF) Towable Diesel Air Compressors

Appreciate that, but not necessary. Hopefully it’s the complete version. I have no idea how many of these units were made. Really looking forward to hearing it run.

7MC-2A & MC-2A (USAF) Towable Diesel Air Compressors

I bought the CD Hopefully it's complete. The Deutz fuel solenoid for one of the other MC-2As should arrive Monday or Tuesday. Wix Oil filter and jug of Mobil 1 compressor oil arrives Tuesday.

7MC-2A & MC-2A (USAF) Towable Diesel Air Compressors

Agree! The listing picture omits the manual number. I wonder where they found it since I've spent hours looking for it with zero luck. It is the CD version, and claims to have everything. If it was the official paper version, I would have bought it. Will most likely buy it since I do need it...

7MC-2A & MC-2A (USAF) Towable Diesel Air Compressors

I’ve been striking out everywhere. There is someone on eBay that has a PDF or CD version for $40+. No clue if it’s a complete version. I know the manual existed, but cannot locate it.

7MC-2A & MC-2A (USAF) Towable Diesel Air Compressors

The 7MC-2A with the 2 cylinder 2G30 HATZ diesel is putting up a fight. (The other two have the Deutz diesels) Have fuel up to the injection pump and plenty of fuel is coming out the return line, but almost nothing is coming out of the injection pump. Fuel solenoid is working and even have a bit...

7MC-2A & MC-2A (USAF) Towable Diesel Air Compressors

Picked these up last Friday. They were almost given away. Been wanting one of these for a while. Perfect for Ranch work Two are 100% complete, minus one bearing cap, and one MC-2A is missing the fuel solenoid and one air dryer plus the reel air hose. The 7MC-2A will be brought back to life as...

M101 Trailer Series: Brand New Brake Levers

Any change in part number? Price? That picture seems to show a grease zert. Is there one? Probably just the angle of the picture. Thanks

    MEP002a questions

SeaFoam is what I used successfully on mine to flood the IP and soak the internals. I continue to use it in the fuel and also add two-cycle oil to keep it happy Ray70’s method of bringing the IP back to life worked for me perfectly. His advice (and others!) helped me save my 002A.

    Unicor NF2D Light Tower/Genset

I used these on both the NF-2D and also a warehouse cart. Fit great and zero issues. You should start your own thread for additional questions and to document the work on your unit.

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

Thanks for the tip! Will install when the weather cools down a bit. Electricians should be here later next week to install a generator hookup at the power pole.

    Unicor NF2D Light Tower/Genset

If you replace the tire, replace the tube. Their inexpensive and your already in there. Recommend you use silicone grease on the beads. Makes removing the tires at a later date MUCH easier.

    Yes, exactly.

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

That’s exactly why the flag terminal is used. Nothing else would work properly and the cable would have rubbing and routing issues.

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

It does not. By all appearances it looks like all factory work and nothing is modified. I'll install it as recommended. It will rarely get used. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to melt anything.

MEP-002A Exhaust Question plus Machine Resurrection

Funny how the shorter ground cable has a red ring terminal on it. The positive cable has just a plain flag terminal with no shrink sleeve.
