Got to use the 756A2 over the weekend to haul some scaffolding to our house. My pickup truck is in the shop, so the deuce got called into action. Before I took it out on the four lane, I had to replace the mirrors because the old ones were cracked and broken. The R&R went pretty well and the new...
Only one month to go! Who’s thinking about joining us? It would be great to get a headcount so I can make sure we have enough campsites and food on hand. Please post up as soon as possible! Thanks!
Decided to do a “quick little repair project” the other morning just to keep the project moving. The door handle on the driver’s side was pretty rusty and the one on the passenger side was half gone. I used my impact driver to spin the screws off on the driver’s side and had the new one...
Spent a little time this evening putting the data plates back on. My dad took them off years ago to keep some jerk from stealing them. The screws were nowhere to be found and there was no way I was putting them on with shiny zinc-plated hardware, so I soaked some new screws in vinegar overnight...
Some new parts arrived yesterday! I found two new work lights for the headache rack and an NOS block and tackle. The only BII items I am missing now are the stake pocket adapters. Please let me know if you know of any for sale. Otherwise, I’ll fabricate some.
Update: Great news!! Dave Newman from Eastern Surplus has graciously agreed to sponsor our Friday night cookout! We will have lots of great chow to throw on the barbecue along with all of the fixins and beverages! Thanks, Dave!
Recovery Day!
Well, we did it! We recovered the M756A2 today!
My brother, Chad, and my dad helped me load a ton of tools, fluids, etc... in the pickup this morning and then we headed out to the storage yard where the pipeline truck has been sitting for the last 16 years. We last had the truck...
I reserved six camping spots at Trailhead this morning. Five of them are smaller spots and one is a large group spot. They are marked in blue on the attached map. They are all right next to each other and are located right next to the access road to AOAA. That should give us room for 20-25...
We are a little over two months away from rally time! Please post up if you guys are interested in attending. Also, please let me know if you are interested in camping onsite or if you are going to stay down the road in a local hotel. Thanks!
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use your M35A2 at AOAA because it’s a soft top truck. I know it seems silly because it’s not like a hard top would save you if you flipped it, but that’s the rule. Your HMMWV would be fine as long as the factory B-pillar “roll bar” is installed. Hope you will...
I ordered a couple of t-shirts last Thursday for me and my brother. They showed up on Tuesday, so I was pleased with the order fulfillment speed. The tees are Hanes tagless, and are nice and heavy duty for wrenching on MV’s or just wearing around town. To get some 20th Anniversary gear of your...
Everything you need to know is in the -10 manual. It lists all of the model numbers and even has drawings of all of the them. There’s a ton of other info in there and it is required reading for all owners of M939 trucks.
