What did you do to your deuce this week?

Someone once said on here, one of the biggest shortcomings of the deuce was not putting window wipers on the INSIDE of the cab. There's a lot of truth to that statement.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Nice! I ended up having to buy a new 2nd gear with the holes already drilled in it from Memphis equipment. Couldn't find a machine shop that could drill or mill through mine, it's super hard even with carbide bits.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Well, I'm now a proud owner of a 0.69 geared transmission! Finished the job mid last week and have been driving and playing with the fuel adjustment. Main goal for the project was to lower my RPMs but still achieve 60-65 MPH. Just enough to pass a rig on the highway, not to hot rod around all...

Finished putting the transmission back together after the 0.69 gear upgrade. Took me a while since I Had to order a new style 2nd gear with the oil passages drilled in it, couldn't find a machine shop in town that could modify/drill through the old one. Painted the inside of the cab while I had...

Ah the memories of hauling mine back. 900 mile round trip and spending the night in the desert awaiting for the base to open next day!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Not on a deuce but plenty of toyotas and Hondas. It's really pretty straightforward Tom's site gives excellent instructions if you're familiar with a press, dropping the deuce transmission is simple for the most part.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Tore the transmission apart, gave it a good bath, pressed off gears, in the process of installing the 0.69 OD gears. Need to have my 2nd gear drilled out at the machine shop then I can put it all back together. Going good so far...
