Thanks for posting. I watched every video. Quite an adventure! Sounds like the Cowdog did good.
Regarding brakes, an upgrade is on my list as well. I've already installed rear discs and removed the load equalizer. The truck stops on a dime going forward or backward, even when wet. But I...
Yes that is what I did also. In my opinion the Vintage Air kit is much nicer and more efficient than the Nostalgic unit. I haven't completed installation yet, so I (and many others) will be eager to see photos of your installation.
Thanks for posting.
The company that produced the A/C brackets for Vintage Air was Component Parts Inc. in Ft. Worth TX. In my dealings with them, I got the impression that they were a small, family owned & operated business with no exit strategy. Herb & Lillian (I forgot their last name) owned the company and I...
When you go to mount the inner fuel neck housing you will need to modify the right side of the housing in order for the door hinge to clear. You will also need to drill a new 9/32" hole in the sheet metal in order to mount the housing to the fender. See attached. Hope this helps.

Mr. TOBASH;
Respectfully, I must ask - are you an experienced diesel mechanic? I've been fooling with these things since 1969 and installing turbochargers on diesels since 1985. While I do not claim to be an expert, I have learned a great deal from my experiences over the years. I have owned...
Update on 700R4 in my M1028 -
When I began assembling my new P400 6.5 drivetrain in 2018, I reached out to Chris Gardner at Bowtie Overdrives in Hesperia, California for his recommendation for a rebuilt 700R4. At the time, I had planned to keep the engine naturally aspirated, as the P400 is...
