The only hiccup with that is my hoist setup for my dump. I have maybe an 1/8th inch clearance from the back of my transfer to my spool valve mount right now. I kinda shot myself in the foot for any wiggle room there.

I'm leaning towards a big cam swap. I have some sleeve concerns with my nhc250 right now. Antifreeze is full of rust. I spent half a day flushing it. Made little difference. It's starting to have some white film in the over flow tank also. I really dont want a clutch pedal for sure. But I dont...
I understand for sure. I have the same ADHD itch to tinker and make things the way I want. I'm fairly certain there are no other trucks the same as mine either. I went in a different direction of functionality first though. Got tired of unloading things by hand... like to be able to haul a...
I'm a little curious. After everything you've done to this truck to make it a better over the road truck. You have no use for 6 wheel drive? Why go to all the trouble? Why not just use a regular semi. You've got enough invested. Time and sweat and money. You could probably have a pretty decent...
Guess it's good they run two 12v banks parallel and then connect them in series to make 24 then. I imagine it's not an accident. More likely for battery longevity than cranking power. Up until the early 90s john deere ran 6v batteries in series to make 12 in all there tractors. Except an early...
That may but true. In my experience with batteries it's a crap shoot. I've had some that didnt last a month and others a decade.

I agree. I purchased a small charger battery maintainer from the farm store. Just 12v. I've left the light switch on just with the dash lights and killed the batteries enough it wouldnt crank. Put that little charger on the first battery 12v bank. Overnight good as new. Every so often I'll put...
Except if you farm plate them. Then everything changes. But it limits travel to 150 miles away. And a few other limitations. In Michigan anyhow

Rebuilt the troop seats off the parts truck and made some flag poles for the front. Big homecoming parade in town tomorrow.

Here's my run at it

I did that at first it works for a cheap solution. I ended up putting a 3 spool control valve with power beyond on and plumbing the pump to it first and then to my winch valve. Everything works mint np stopping and switching and the 3 spool is set to a different relief pressure with it's own...
Yeah let's not even get started on that... not sure why I agreed to do it. Especially since me & the wife are well I dunno.

Hauled some sand to the in-laws yesterday. Finally had a chance to get it on the scales. 14.5 tons on that load. Had to crank the relief on the valve again. After that it dumped like a champ. Actually made the springs squat some. Pretty sure I'm right at the dot limit on weight
