New to me Deuce with matching trailer - wrenching post

I just want the beads broken, nothing else. Hopefully a shop around here can do it. I have 2 wheels loaded into my daily and am going to try a couple places on the way home tomorrow. I have a locking air nozzle, long hoses and a long chain I can wrap around the wheel to pump it up. I can do it...

Good thread. One wheel I broke the rear bead with a 3 ton floor jack and straps. Then broke the straps on the front side. The weight of my silverado couldn't break the bead on the two wheels I tried. So maybe Tire Discounters can help lol

All the info I have received on this site and this thread has been great. Thank you to all! Today and yesterday I have been trying to break the bead on 2 of my spares, no luck. Yesterday it was using my 3 ton floor jack with ratchet straps, was able to get the back side of one wheel broke...

I had a similar situation with my wife's Trailblazer. When we had new tires put on it and I went to rotate the wheels the lug nuts were stoopid tight. I could personally barely get them off and I have an assortment of breaker bars (long steel tubes). Needless to say when we get new tires here in...

Mullaney I hear ya. I've been wrenching on cars for well over 27 years, as a hobby, and have never torqued a lug nut in my life. But with cars I think the typical lug nut torque is like 80 lbs and I have a good "feel" for that setting. Not so much for the 400-450lbs the big guys need. The impact...

Do you use the torque multiplier to torque the nuts back on? Most of what I have read so far says dont do it and to use a torque adapter.

I have a Ryobi 1/2" cordless impact. I may try it out but it's only rated to 300ft lb torque.

I wish mine would do that! Seems like all of mine have been neutered

Today was a good day. Picked up 6 never used NDT tires along with a nos never used still in the sealed bag long air pack for a good price, got my master cyl and rebuilt air pack installed, swept out the bed of the truck and loaded my tires up. Good exercise! So far I've really enjoyed working...

I did manage to get the new temp sending unit installed and noticed that the wire clip holding the wire in place on the intake manifold was just hanging and one of the four nuts was missing so I dug into my collection and found a nut and lockwasher to re-secure the wires in place. That would be...

Looking at this again, I can see how it works with the rear wheels but what does the leg sit up against on the front wheels or the inner rear wheels? The budd socket I bought is like 3 inches long.

This is the one I was considering. But my budd socket is 3/4" drive so I won't be getting this one aua

That looks identical to the M39528. The M630276 I can't find for less than $280. Wonder what the difference is. I found the M39528 for $133

Otherwise, I believe the ford F550 master cylinder should mount up pretty easy to the stock location with minimal fabrication. Then run a second airpack. Do you happen to have a part number for this master cylinder?

    Dual Circuit Brake Engineering Thread

I've been trying to stick to the original concept of a dual master cylinder and air packs. Consequently I came across a combination valve that has the correct size and number of fittings for a stock replacement type. AC Delco makes pn 15835212 with 2 inlets 2 outlets with the 7/16 sized inverted...

I really didn't want to buy chinese tools but holy cow. A decent brand name impact is spensive! Just as a gallon of milk was $5.09 this morning. Ridiculous

Today I picked up some 3/4" drive tools (impact, ratchet, adapters) and I received the 3" nut socket and temp sensor yesterday. Of course its going to be in the upper 30's this weekend. I've been looking around at the dual circuit brake system options. I'd like to go that route but an extra air...

    Dual Circuit Brake Engineering Thread

I found this while searching the dorman m12000 part number. You guys may already know about this Price looks good and specs appear to match the A3 master Will this bolt to the stock A2 bracket without the winch? Only issue is that the listings say for disc brakes. So I don't know if it is...
